The OHBA Futures Faster multiplex stream is a stackable learning program that includes a 1:1 mentorship program with two micro-credentials focused on real estate fundamentals and multiplex development — two areas critical to the future of housing supply and innovation in Canada.
Led by experts Daniel Foch and Nick Hill from Realist, participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of real estate investment, small-scale development, and project execution, supported by mentorship, live coaching, and real-world learning experiences.
The following two micro-credential courses are available to participants in the OHBA Futures Faster program.
Mentees are required to register for and complete both courses, while mentors may choose to complete either one.
From Start to Scale
A comprehensive program designed to help Canadian real estate investors confidently move from their first deal to a scalable portfolio. Combining structured learning modules, live coaching, and a community of like-minded investors, the program provides the knowledge, tools, and support you need to succeed in today’s evolving housing market.
A blended workshop experience (in-person and virtual) featuring expert guest speakers and a project-based challenge exercise completed prior to the event. Participants will gain deeper insight into practical deal analysis, financing, and growth strategies.
This course provides a comprehensive, step-by-step guide to understanding, acquiring, designing, and developing multiplex housing in Canada. With housing affordability at crisis levels and population growth intensifying demand, multiplex development represents one of the most practical solutions to address supply shortages while building long-term, community-integrated housing.
The Multiplex Masterclass is ideal for builders, designers, real estate professionals, or investors who want to explore the growing opportunity of small-scale housing and sustainable infill development in their communities.
A live, hands-on learning experience. Participants will visit (or join virtually) an active multiplex project site led by an experienced builder. Prior to the site tour, participants will review a case study that aligns with the project tour, allowing them to compare and analyze design, financing, and construction outcomes in real time.
